Digital tools for agricultural knowledge
Pepper Bot explores AI-assisted delivery of scientific knowledge for black pepper cultivation. Related work includes AI-based identification of black pepper diseases and language models for agricultural knowledge delivery.
Forecasting and crop quality
Student work has compared time-series and machine-learning models for pineapple price forecasting in Kerala. Another project applies convolutional neural networks to classify the ripening of Nendran banana.
Experimental design and visualization
Work on augmented randomized complete block designs for multilocation trials and grapesDraw, an R package for data visualization, connects modern computation to the design and interpretation of agricultural experiments.
